Woodrow Kroll: Satan is offering to Jesus what Jesus knows He already has. For him to bow down to Satan would destroy His ability and His purity to be the savior of the world because He would have bowed down to a false God. 1 John 2:15 says, "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world."

Those are the three areas that Satan tempted Jesus in. What he doesn't understand, though, is that the Spirit of God is right there with Him. And you know what? The Spirit of God is with us.
